Costa Rica Art Festival In Second Life®

The Costa Rica Art Festival starts tomorrow on Saturday 14 September, and if you would feel like it, you can go and see some of my sculptures there.

The sim is called La Fortuna and is owned by Knor Lane, who made a selection out of my non exclusive work. Moreover, you can find some beautiful sculptures by Ub Yify and other artists, so it is worth the effort of teleporting …

Reflection On The Three Graces

Just finished another sculpture for Alexandar Vargas and his sim Welsh Cove . Yes, as I already wrote before he has an exceptional good taste! And, moreover, he gave his permission to show all the sculptures I made for him in an exhibit which is opening today on Senlei Flasheart’s sim Shengri La Peace. The exhibition is organized by Callipygian Christensen (whose first name I always have to double check in order not to misspell it, even though I know what it means) and will be open until July 27.

Callipygian made this wonderful poster as invitation …

and since I finished “Reflection On the Three Graces” just in time, you will be able to see them there if you would have some time to spare to go over there. If not, you can always just gaze at these photos …

Madcow Cosmos’ Fool on Deck, A 3D Tarot Game

An exhibit not to be missed in  Wales Springs, made possible by Alexandar Vargas and Callipygian Christensen. Two sims filled with masterpieces made by Madcow Cosmos: each sculpture or build depicts a card of the tarot game and is testimony to Madcos’ enormous creativity, fantasy and artisicity. All this is to be admired until the 30th of July, but if I were you, I would not wait that long …

Cheen Pitney’s Secret Sculptures

From today on, Cheen Pitney, the SL-world famous sculptor, my example and friend, show the statues he made as private commissions, and thus made only for the eyes of the owner, his friends and his visitors. This is a unique chance to admire these masterpieces without having to hire a private detective or force Cheen to let you peek into his inventory. The pictures below are only a wee fraction of what is to be seen in the Crescent Moon Museum ( http://slurl.com/secondlife/FairChang%20Village/218/206/31 ) and I will show you sculptures I had never seen before and – this goes without doubt – I like a lot more than a lot.

Reflections on Sacred Space – an Exhibition by Morris Vig

Morris Vig is back! Although he never really went away, he is now once more showing the virtual world where his heart -in my humble opinion- really belongs: the arts. His exhibition “Reflections on Sacred Space” on the former Oyster Bay grounds shows the kinetic second life sculptures of elros Tuominen, in a modern church or temple like construction. You will just have to go there, because it is sure worth the effort, and as we all know, in second life the high gasoline prices cannot serve as an excuse. Read more about it on http://secondarts.wordpress.com. And in the yard, there is a nice surprice for every art collector …
